EarWorm is not exactly a band per se, but an ambient, improvisation driven electroacoustic ensemble configured as a trio of composer-performers. All of our music is performed live, in front of an audience. Nothing is ever rehearsed and there are no set tunes, forms, or structures. As such, "EarWorm" is an experiment in collective improvisationwe never know where we will go nor how long we will go. It is the process that drives our music. Our combined style is as varied as our collective musical experience: running the spectrum from free-form jazz, minimalism, electronica, funk, rock, classical, blues, and quite literally everywhere in between. EARWORM MEMBERS: James Holdman: electric bass, mandolin, lap dulcimer, humming, singing. Marc Jensen: accordion, toy piano, slide-whistle, recorder, humming, singing, pots & pans. Elliott Miles McKinley: keyboards (samples: electric piano, Hoener D6 clavinet, harpsichord, banjo, female choir, synth bass, harp, double-bass, guitar); laptop (mixing and live effects processing of the trio, sampling, looping, drum loops) Zachary Crockett: flute, pan-flute, slide whistle, assorted percussion, voice. Guests: Scott Moses Murray (guest on 3-21 / 4-18 Acadia shows): electric guitar Doug Little (guest on 4-18 Acadia show): tenor sax, flute
