Pete Townshend
January 19th, 1997
Maybe 10 yrs old, but Blues aint got no age..it's ageless..
just like Pete seems to be, always moving in whichever way
he feels and on this day his acoustic prowess became
manifest; a lively, bluesy indie number became timeless!..
Ya know..there's nuthin like an acoustic guitar singin'
and ringin' out...especially when Townshend plays it.

Pete Townshend
Lazy Fat People
emit s every emotion he feels into his music conveys a
scathing social commentary with his unmatched sardonic wit
as he humorously exposes the greed and obesity of human
selfishness. Marching beat of sneaking gloom and gypsy
feel acoustic picking with Pete's musical vocal harmonies
and ends in a light-hearted nursery-like silly rhyme...
illustrating the ridiculousness of this plight!

Only For You
This lady can take a 2 or 3 chord song and make it an
eloquent vocal-jazz-scale extravaganza...even if the song
only had a guy beatin on a couple of cans, Gina would turn
it into an Ella Fitzgerald number and here; it just makes
you wish that it was 'Only For You'.

Control Panel feat Anjuli
Like your Space/Funk dipped into flaming red desire? Well if you do, Groove Queen Anjuli teams up with sound designers Paul Groover and Steve Murdoch and gets her groove ON... swaying her hips and moving her delicious lips; spilling forth a sexual mantra amid the swirling space-ship debris.. like Diana Ross lost in space trying to sing her way out, 100% sure she'll land into a Fantastic Planet somewhere else ...from station The Feeding Tube

Steve April
Late Bloomer (collabro Steve Ison)
Hey! I wanna date this girl!...oh, thats right...she died
in a snow-blurry car wreck... All the un-usual musical fare
'blooming' out of this magical song from the dynamic and
theatrical songwriting craftsmen April/Ison..or is it...
Ison/April?...doesn't matter..they're on the same team
here as they draw the listener from a light-hearted intro..
instantly into a vaudeville memory of a feisty gal and
her untimely death..was she April's lover? April and Ison's
clever humor will probably prevent us from ever knowing...
but just like 'poetry-in-motion', the 'Late Bloomer' lady,
a clandestine love affair..(?), and even this song must
come to a musical, story-book end. Not to worry though...
we always have the 'play-button' to enjoy them all again!
What a wonderful Surprise from partners of Musical Life...

Dan Whitley
Calling all Gods (demo)
"don't forget to duck when it's your turn to self destruct"..Whitley gets brutal with the truth and is not afraid of dying on his quest for absolution from the pain
of love and life's turmoils..and in this song the Whitley
band attempt and quite possibly achieve contact with 'the
groove' which leads to the other side..are the answers for
Whitley there?..I'm not sure but he's not afraid to find
out and get ready for his signature and soulful guitar work
reminiscent of the frenzied/spiritual attack of Neil Young
and Hendrix when they too caught that illusive groove which
all musicians strive to ride. Rock On!!

Endgame
An endearing song for those at peace with their life..words
which we all hope we are capable of saying: don't think any
of us can do so as well as Brian Booth and not with the joy
of life which is blooming in this beautifully played and
recorded song with fantastic singing melody and harmonies..
and that 'meditating suspended pause' that Brian is so adept
at applying into his music; always moving, yet at peace with itself..just like the man who wrote it.
