Even the template is 'Wasteland'. This is my world - where Bingo, Apathy and Decay are the Holy Trinity, and a singer is an annoying interruption to/distraction from, the ritual supplication. It's a place where dressing rooms are full of broken furniture and have no mirrors, and audiences have long forgotten how to listen and show appreciation - unless their pal/daughter/husband is on the karaoke. To imbue Buddy from The Incredibles with the ethos of Simon Cowell: 'I'll make everyone a singer, and then when everyone's a singer, nobody will be'. Is this the future? No. This venue and thousands like it have no future. But a virtual Social Club, with a few tweaks and with your support, just might have what it takes to survive.
