Free As A Dove
This is candlelight, wine, and late night soft music for dreamers and lovers whether they be curled up in each others arms in front of a glowing fireplace on a quiet winter's night, or overlooking city lights and sights, or in some serendipitous hide-away blues bar far away from the helter-skelter of life ... beautiful voice with a range that soars like that dove higher and ever higher above, sweet harmonies, beautiful lyrics, beautiful music, beguiling arrangement, disarming, irresistible, soulful and seductive.

Steve April
The Rd Not Taken
How well I know the road not taken – been there, done that long time ago now ... and then that inevitable fork in the road appears seemingly out of the blue ahead ... it beckons, cajoles and calls ... your heart listens to the melody of music playing to all the dreams buried in the corners and back roads of your mind, and you know this is where you belong, where you were meant to be, and you take it ... and you know too there's no looking back. "The Rd Not Taken" ... a grand intro, thoughtful lyrics, engaging melody, arrangement and production and delightfully charming retro-rock vocals with a touch of timeless nostalgia draped in the wondrous strains of déjà delivered here by Steve with his customary panache and flair ... a tune for that time in everyone's life – could be any day, could be every day.

DirgeK
All Good Things (Dedicated to Sam Cat 12/09/08)
This has all the earmarks of the 1940's Golden Age of Radio and all the sounds of The Winter Gardens and the promenade in Blackpool, and shades of the romanticism of the "White Cliffs of Dover" ... hauntingly beautiful and just so classic DirgeK.

TOWER OF LOVE
Music, the language of love, is taken to new heights here as Richard and Russ combine to give us a beautiful song of hope, strength and the power of love in reflection of that fateful September morning. Having seen the Eiffel Tower bathed in such a golden glow as seen in the display pic for the song, the symbolism of its strength and majestic beauty stretching seemingly endlessly into heaven is especially poignant.

PIP and MERRY
OLD BONES AND SILVER
The storytelling here is warm and deep and so very, very poignant and beautiful. Pip's vocals echoing behind me in the cabin as I sit out here on the porch watching a harvest moon drift slowly through the clouds are making me imagine that I'm sitting around an old cowboy campfire down by a lazy river stream listening to Willie Nelson ... and Merry's harmony vocals are so beautiful that I'm sure June Carter-Cash's spirit must have somehow found its way into her soul and into this great song, which means of course that Johnny is likely also somewhere in the shadows. A perfect title, amazing lyrics, heartfelt storytelling, classic country singing and campfire guitar playing, wistful, reflective, melancholy and beautiful ... makes me want the night to never end.

"Walking In Clouds"
A beautiful song, the kind that makes for a contemplative, peaceful, wistful and quiet night wiling the hours away here in front of the old Philco console radio. I listen, ponder the universe, and slumber in solitary wonder as the clouds drift aimlessly through my mind. Beautiful music ... next to perfect peace.
