the year was 1976. I picked up my first musical instrument. It was the harmonica. I had already started writing songs. Raised on a farm i listened to country music and bluegrass. I used to play harmonica to charlie Mccoy albums .In my junior year in high school, friends and i formed a country band.I had only been playing guitar for about 2 weeks.( Im a fast learner..)The band was called the country 4 plus. We played all over upstate n.y .
I played rythm guitar and was the lead singer. After high school i joined the united states navy. I played in every port of call .(HAWAII,PHILLIPPINES,AUSTRALIA, SINGAPORE, AFRICA,CANADA AND MEXICO. I also played for my fellow shipmates. cv64 uss constellation
In 1988 I was honorably discharged. I moved to upstate n.y and started a band called gold rush.I sang lead vocals,played guitar and harmonica.
After a year and a half my wife,2 sons and i moved to phoenix az.By now i had written over 100 songs.
I put out a 45 in the 80,s. (e.j clark) The a side was called (cowboys cowgirl) and the b side was called (my dream girl). I soon started buying other musical instruments,( mandolin,keyboards,bass guitar, drums, pedal steel guitar, and dobro. I taught myself how to play all these instruments. I now play 9 instruments. My wife bought me a 8 track digital recording work station and the rest is history. I now currently have a cd on cdbaby.com called (Take me home) I wrote 10 of the 12 songs on the album and co-wrote the other two. I now have over 200 songs that i have written. I am, true blue country but with a modern sound. If you like george strait and alan jackson then you will probably like my music. I am a very polite.honest hard working man.Thats how i was raised. I live country.I am country.
