“Chip sounds much, much better than (Mike) Love does these days!! The CD is great. Really dig The Beach Boys cover track. And I love ‘Too Much Sun.’” - Alan Boyd (The Beach Boys singer/musician/writing collaborator with Brian Wilson, Mike Love & Al Jardine)

“Old Sand Mill is an outside-the-grid band dashing out the starting gate with a bloody “Sergeant Pepper! And yours truly, proudly broke this jewel in the UK!” – Roy Wetton (Millside Radio Network/British Radio Personality, Manchester, UK)
"I open the mail every day at the radio station waiting for that unexpected gem to drop in my lap. Old Sand Mill's new disc is just such a beauty! I've made my way through it at least six times, and I'm just now starting to hear all that's going on. This band chooses swimming upstream and doing it their own way. Hey, anyone that works in Brian Wilson, Jerry Douglas, and Daryl Jones, in a meaningful way, wins big brownie points in my book! I was very impressed – a ton of talent on this CD!” - Ray White (KDFC/legendary National Radio Personality, San Francisco, CA)
“SHP Records’ intriguing new artist, Old Sand Mill, an alternative folk rock, Brit-influenced band comprised of Coachella Valley songwriters/musicians Chip Miller and Janaki, has made an impressive debut with their ambitious and beautiful new album, ‘The World Is Getting Colder.’ The songs are catchy, edgy, hypnotic, psychedlic, silly, deep, spiritual, haunting, sad, happy, scary, full of warning, loss, and in the end – a bittersweet hope for peace and love. Perhaps we need more John Lennon and Gandhi in this cold new technological world of isolation and disconnect.” – Phillip Kauffman (Billboard International Music Capsule)

“If you dig Crosby, Stills & Nash, Donovan, Yes, Pink Floyd, The Beach Boys, and Simon & Garfunkel, with a dash of Beck and Radiohead, then you will dig Old Sand Mill’s debut work, ‘The World Is Getting Colder.’ This well-produced album pays homage to a wide range of classic and contemporary influences and dares to move effortlessly from one genre to another, with fun and intriguing original tunes penned by singer/songwriter and longtime film and music video director Chip Miller, along with his decades younger band mate, Janaki, a multi-talented musician/composer. They’re joined by some incredible, well-known backing musicians, and numerous guests like the iconic Brian Wilson, multi-Grammy winner Jerry Douglas of Alison Krauss & Union Station, Darryl Jones of The Rolling Stones, r&b legend Deneice Williams, the Vancouver Philharmonic Orchestra, and many more. This one’s worth the journey. It’s like going to the movies through music.” – Iain Stewart (The British Music Connection)

I love this album!!! I must say I listened to it on MySpace first, but I bought it too! It speaks to me and my entire familey. I hope this album touches the world as it has touched mine. Everyone exaggerates when say they this, but I truly think I do not. This album showed me peace for change when I always thought force for change. Unique completely is this interesting concept and warning presented as a Smörgåsbord of eclectic music and artists. I have my favorites from album, but each piece is not complete without entire album to introduce each. Bravo and much great thanks again!
please anyone wishing to listen to wonderful musics :
