Backed by years of critical and commercial success, Pete is now focusing his attention on his roots. The DETROIT BORN musician is re-entering the blues world with a lifetime of experience behind him. Drawing on all his talents, multi-platinum Grammy Award winning producer, arranger, songwriter, guitarist, legendary bandleader, savvy instrument designer, and genuine ""guitar hero"" Anderson has recorded a solo album featuring new, all original material. The CD entitled ""Even Things Up"" will be supported with extensive touring in the United States and Europe by Pete and his band.
As a solo artist, his main focus has always been on his first musical passion: Blues. And speaking of the Blues, Pete was involved with Guitar Center and it's ""King Of The Blues"" contest. Anderson wrote and produced 22 tracks for the backing CD and participated as the Musical Director at the competition itself for 2 years in a row. The “King of The Blues” contest was the “largest of it’s kind” in guitar history

He is also well known for his work with Dwight Yoakam, Roy Orbison, The Meat Puppets, Flaco Jimenez and many,many others. He is also a renowned bandleader who has appeared on Saturday Night Live, David Letterman and The Tonight Show (19 times since 1986). Pete Anderson has played over 3,000 live shows in more than 15 countries around the world.

So, Pete... is this actually you or your "people"?
Either way, I am a big fan. I was sad to see you part with Dwight, but am excited to see what direction you take now.
Also... LOVED the album you did with Meat Puppets. As a long-time MP fan, that one took me by surprise, but boy, was it a great pairing! "Sam" shoulda been a hit.
