TAVARES DAIZE has been the name and the face behind Northern California’s largest college radio station 90.5 fm KSJS’s “CAMP RADIO” for 3 years. Debuting and interviewing the latest artist in hip-hop music. A California native, he was first introduced to the public as a finalist on the MTV VJ show in 2000 and went on to co-host as a special guest on the Mandy Moore Show that summer. He later returned as a special guest on MTV’s Original Series MTV Jams. In August of that year Tavares Daize released his first album, Same Daize Different Time, which included such hits as Iz It Me and The Media. Same Daize Different Time was a fresh and energetic project that caught the attention of many young urban adults, with its compelling lyrical content and powerful delivery. He performed all over Northern California and continued to gain recognition for his musical aptitude, charisma, and appeal.

His sophomore album, Reality Check, included production by himself, and proved to be a refreshing well-balanced blend of mainstream and under-ground hip-hop, which Tavares Daize coined mainground hip-hop. In 2002 he focused on diversity and a more artistic approach to music, which landed him a Marketing & Promotions Director position at a Northern California music corporation. Staying honest and determined to be one of the best appealing to the masses he concentrated on conveying the message regardless of content so that people could relate and directly identify with the name & the face Tavares Daize. Maintaining a fun and enthusiastic vigor landed him at the B.E.T. Awards 2003 to 2005 & again in 2007 hosting the red carpet for “Exsplosive Media Outlet” interviewing celebrities across the entertainment industry. His philosophy “SUCCESS IS A CHOICE NOT AN ACCIDENT” is a free form of expression which helped him obtain official hosting jobs for the “Next Hitz Comedy Jam”, “The Urban American Show” and currently “Club Jackin” which focuses on NorCal’s hottest night spots. In October of 2005 Tavares was contacted by Exsplosive Media Outlet for another great opportunity to host the red carpet at the black tie event of the year, the B.E.T. 25th Anniversary Celebration. Tavares always felt that media should entertain and respect people of all races, genders, and age groups, leaving them with a positive impression. He will continue to bring new flavor to any and all communities and leave a poignant impression with the sound of his vibrant and signature voice.

Tavares Daize is also gaining recognition outside the media arena. In 2004 he was named an official member of the Downtown Association for his work and dedication to the community of San Jose California. He also became very creative and made sure he kept his name out there by hosting major events and parties, including Dallas Cowboys own Roy Williams 2006 V.I.P. party at “The Vault” in downtown San Jose. Premier night clubs in the Northern California area are very familiar with the voice and swaggar of Tavares Daize. 2007 he directed his first t.v. show “The Bay Show” and continues to definitely be a force to be reckoned with.
