I am currently working on a sound project leading to a musical interpretation of anthropologists’ academic life in conferences and professional societies. It is based on sound sampling among anthropologists attending conferences during 2008 and 2009 in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Brazil, and on conversations with selected anthropologists. It has as its main goal the composition of soundpieces related to professional associations in which anthropologists partake and to anthropology as a distinct field of meaning that can be interpreted in musical ways.
