stuart mulder was born on 17 april 1974 in banbury, oxfordshire. whilst true to say that he led a normal life, he was always considered a little peculiar by his peers. by the age of nine he had already established himself as a conduit for the great songwriters of his time, writing his first piece of music (theme) shortly before the realisation that age was no barrier to creativity or drive. since that fateful piece of work spurred him to continue and develop his songwriting talent, a vast catalogue of demos and ideas have collected themselves on manu_scripts and data files waiting for completion and publication. by the age of twelve (or perhaps thirteen or even fourteen (seriously, this was a long time ago)) he had found joy and satisfaction through the channelling of the great songstresses of the day, most notably, numerous reworkings of kylie minogue tracks. this was the birth of genius. however, it soon became apparent that stuart mulder alone was unlikely to cover the ground required to expose the harmonies and chord structures hidden beneath the lies and false inversions of those who would disguise the true meaning of melody. it was therefore necessary to re-launch project:bluebook and in the truest sense of the concept of music, you are left with just one thought... leave them their music - it gives them hope

just for an idea of what people think of project:bluebook - here's a selection of some of the reviews that amused me (good and bad)...

'theme (radio edit)' - Pet Shop Boys feel to a quirky simple electronic tune. Bendy 80's pip synth hangs precariously onto the pulsing bass synth interwoven with some nice male/female spoken narrative. The verdict...uncomplicated electronic tune that stands alone. Like it? You know I don't know!

'theme (radio edit)' - That stretching sound made me smile ( in a good meaning).

'theme (radio edit)' - Don't produce anything elts. Please for the sake of our plannet.

'theme (radio edit)' - sounds like some inpirational music. 80s top gun kinda song. not for the movie tho. for the video game. all this MIDI makes me wanna puke.

'theme (radio edit)' - ive never heard this song and i think its real original. the synthizer sounds arctic (deadly)

'romance' - The Mix sounds almost flawless... (everything works well together)... and the production is done very well.

'romance' - Tangerine Dream electronic vibe with strands of Procol Harum's "Whiter Shade Of Pale" make this ever suitable and timelessly accessible as a film soundtrack or av theme.

Something Educational
This whole track is built around a simple sample but it's really catchy...

The artist has designated this song as non-chartable.

This is just a little bit of self-indulgent nostalgia...

Something Educational (ScubbaThudRubDub)
This is a version of the original track but without the sample (apart from a little bit) - a mate thought it might sound better without it - what do you think

01/08/06 (that's 1 august 2006 for any americans reading this...)

ok, hands up for me... despite my promises of a weekly update it hasn't happened. the reason, honestly, i'm a really busy trainee solicitor in the uk and time is really tight at the moment but i have been able to revamp some of my home site and remix a couple of tracks.

regular visitors to my site (now there's blind hope if everi read it!!!) will notice that the versions of the tracks here are newere and improved. my home site now has some demos which overtime will be added to any the best will be compiled into releases that will be available for download and purchase as either individual tracks or cd releases.

i am no longer promising when these things will happen... all i can ask is that you visit every once in a while for updates and i will post new things as they happen

ta for now
