This is the long awaited debut album, a fruit of several years of labor by Doreen who is the main composer of the songs. Doreen started singing in her childhood, performing live since the tender age of seven. Since then, she has been singing in the choir, performing in concerts, churches, and other venues.
Doreen started writing songs for this CD three years ago, when she was still in high school. Her beautiful, graceful voice, usually compared to Celine Dion's, is noticeable by anyone who loves soul music. She had been pressured to release a CD by her fans who love her voice and wanted to have her music in their homes; 'Unarejeshwa' is a gift for her fans.
Performed in both English and Kiswahili, 'Unarejeshwa' combines reggae, chakacha and soul tunes. Dorine says that her vision is to use her music to reach millions worldwide and tell them about Jesus Christ, but she is also quick to add that the songs also entertain and most are aimed for the active youth who love songs to dance to. So, the CD caters for all age groups, starting from the youth to the old.
'Unarejeshwa' has received excellent ratings and anyone who buys the album will NOT be disappointed.
