Froman is headlined by none other than Abe Froman, the self proclaimed Sausage King of Chicago. SAUSAGE? Well...the term sausage is used rather loosely, symbolizing one's manhood. His self titled rap group, Froman, offers nothing but fun and mischief for DJs and club goers.
“Why do they call you The Sausage King of Chicago?” “What is The Sausage Committee about?” “Special Sauce?” These are just a hand full of questions and remarks often tossed at Abe Froman before a performance. “The name alone sparks controversy and rightfully so…sex is a beautiful thing,” says Jack Linx, a member of the Chicago based Hip-Hop group, The Sausage Committee.
The Sausage Committee a/k/a The Committee is led by none other than Abe Froman the Sausage King of Chicago. Commonly known as Froman, Abe promises audiences nothing but sheer fun and enjoyment as the group travels to different venues performing songs from their highly anticipated album titled, Yes…Size Does Matter. “‘Banger N Mash’ served with some ‘Special Sauce’ are the songs that get the ladies blushing, the guys chuckling and the DJs the response they need to pack the dance floors”, implies Froman, a former DJ turned recording artist. Since his teens, Froman has dee-jayed at clubs and house parties digging in the crates spinning old school to Hip-Hop. Over the years, his ear has led him to create the basic concept for Yes…Size Does Matter. “Crime is at an all time high! Hating is at an all time high and for what? People come to have a good time and that’s what we’re about. Our music is an aphrodisiac for the confident sexy woman and a memoir for the man satisfying her.” declares Froman.
Opening for such well known Hip-Hop artists as Fat Joe and Jadakiss, Froman generally preps the crowd before the group begins its tirade on stage. “I don’t know what it is, but we tend to win crowds over. Ok, it must be the sausage, it’s so universal”, explains Sir Loin. Also known as Froman and the Sausage Committee or simply Froman, the group’s performances are full of energy and life. Each member: Frank Jumbo, Sir Loin, Jack Linx and of course Abe Froman adds to the onstage mystic. Phil Brumant, manager of Chicago’s Choices Night Club, has repeatedly invited the group to participate in the venue’s showcases as a crowd favorite. Reminiscent of such groups as Digital Underground, Froman’s candid tale of fun and mischief is generating street buzz throughout Chicago.
The album, ""Yes…Size Does Matter"" is scheduled for released in the latter half of 2006 introducing fresh club bangers for the inquisitive female and the intuitive male. Such singles as, “Pole Position” and “Banger N Mash” are receiving local support from some of Chicago’s most popular DJs groups and college radio stations (WHPK, WIIT etc...). The old adage of, “it's not the size of the boat; it's the motion of the ocean” does not necessarily apply in every case especially when listeners concur that “Yes…Size Does Matter!”
