Stereo Apollo was a popgroup from Holland. The album is called 'A Deja Vu Just Passed Me By'. Between 1997 and 2000 performed only a handful of gigs and silently recorded one album "A Deja Vu Just Passed Me By". In a forgotten factory building they built an intimate little recording studio around an analogue TASCAM 8track machine to put ten songs together. Stereo Apollo tried to create a sound that was both loose and intense; comforting and unpredictable. A casual, spontaneous feel that was to suggest each track was thoughtlessly wacked on tape with the greatest joy. The recording sessions were a profound experience and anything but careless: the recordings are an echo of a concentrated search. There are supposed to be some unmixed tracks hidden in the Stereo Apollo vault among which a pretty nifty version of Gainsbourg's Je t'aime (moi non plus). All the best, Eric - Stereo Apollo (production/bass) January 10, 2008 [ To whomever is interested, early 90s, before Stereo Apollo, I formed a band called Soft Parade together with the amazing Mr. Hans Bos . Our first album PUUR (1992) was produced by David A. Stewart (Eurythmics) for his Anxious label. Dave also donated the above mentioned 8-track. A second CD Get Well Soon (1995) was published by Polydor. One of the outtakes of the Get Well Soon album was a song called Stereo Apollo. ]
