Life Without Lolly
Hauntingly beautiful and genuinelly magical acoustic song.Finding the calm river of serene acceptance after the stormy waters of tragic loss.Has the healing smile of a saint and the intimate whisper of a lover behind closed doors. An absoloute gem.

Memory Collector
Wonderful classy understated pop song with a beautiful empathetic vibe like Ben Folds at his best.Has a fabulous 'radio ready' production in the best possible sense too.Love the little lilting melodic 'flowing wild at the county fair' melodic shift at the end too..Excellent track

The Living Dolls
Remember When
A lost anthem for All The Young Dudes and all the spotty Space Oddities in glitter'n' eyeliner, lost in a time capsule from 1973.Recently unearthed to remind the MacDonalds'n'Adidas generation how much beauty, romance and magic there used to be in this thing called pop.A track like this makes you believe that anyway.

Even On a Bad Day
Really beautiful strange song, goosebump haunting and eerie....Its nightclub lounge rythm slips inside you and the dreamlike melody and harpsichord classicism conjurs up a picture of some elegant 18th century ball where ghostly figures roam and the promise of forbidden hidden passions lurk in stolen glances between strangers..

The Galaxy 6
The Old and the Useless
Despite what some doctors may tell us, herpes is not the most infectious thing going around. That award has to go to this ultra cool track from Florida nutbags The Galaxy 6. The Old & the Useless is the song The Ramones and T Rex would have come up with if they were recording the soundtrack to The Rocky Horror Show. Having said that, these guys have reached that very rare space that most bands never find... they really do have a sound that is entirely their own. Some of the dirtiest fuzz guitar you'll ever hear is complemeted beautifully by the slightly menacing 'oooh ooohs'. Aside from all that, any track that features the immortal words 'Hey Ho, Let's Go' has gotta be a bit of alright

The A/V Club
Velvet Rope
Fabulously inventive anthemic classic rock track from the wonderful A/V Club..The creation of a bedroom recording dreamer absorbing all the greatest rock'n'pop songs thru history and then going ahead and making one to stand shoulder to shoulder with them. When was the last time you heard a chorus THIS exhuberantly brilliant? This memorable and resonant? Not in the charts, thats for sure...In a just world, this would be blasting out of stadiums the world over and #1 in every territory known to mankind..

Stereo Apollo
Haircut In Flames
Haircut in Flames is the perfect example of how to write a radio-friendly pop track that can still be interesting and thoughtful. Swirly tremolo and a decent helping of reverb help to impose a swoony, woozy feeling of tranquility on the listener. Like you've just eaten a big sunday dinner and smoked a fat one...

All I Can Do
This song would fit perfectly on one of the 'Drive Time' compilation CDs..Great open freeway feel and the kind of sunshine 70s classic rock vibe mixed with a touch of new wave sassiness guaranteed to have you humming along on that coastal blue sky drive from San Fransisco to Santa Barbera..
