Formed in the Fall of 2004 and
like most other bands in the city of Detroit, The Expatriates are an
amalgamation of musicians from other bands. Dale Wilson on Guitar and vocals, Matt Hatch on Bass, and Dave Knepp on drums. The Expatriates play a style of Rock
music that is typically passed over in the inner reaches of Detroit’s’
eclectic music scene. Not quite garage and without too much pop the band
draws on music that stretches as far down as New Orleans but stays locked in
the Detroit pulse that feeds the roots of nearly everyone who steps foot in
the city limits.
