Sisters Sheila (Lead Vocals & Guitar) and Yvonne O' Sullivan (Drummer and BV's) and childhood friend Elaine Weldon (Guitar and BV's) are The Jades.
Hailing from Wexford, Ireland, this all female band has been on the road since 1999 and they are due to release their debut album Amber Skies on Aug 14th.
The girls admit that as with many other independent young bands it is a constant struggle to come up with new means of finance to see through each new phase of their project, however despite these obstacles they are determined to achieve what has until now been a 10 year dream!
Amber Skies is an entire album of original Jades material and it was recorded and co-produced by themselves and well renowned producer David Odlum between studios in Ireland & France.
Amber Skies has a mixture of catchy pop tunes along with a few slightly heavier songs. "Some of the songs have been written for years so we're delighted to finally have them recorded and ready for release. "
The girls have supported acts such as The Bangles and The Saw Doctors in Ireland and the UK and they are just fresh from their first Oxegen Festival gig which they have received much appraise and support for.
