Kimberley Nitschke is 21 Years of age from South Australia. She is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, vocal harmoniser, bass and acoustic guitarist, and has been performing for the last eleven years.
Throughout Kimberley’s time as a performer, she has won over one hundred awards throughout Australia at Country Music Festival Competitions, her first placing being in 1995 when she was 10. After six years of competing, Kimberley started concentrating on playing in professional bands and also backing bands in Talent quests. By the time Kimberley turned 18, she had been a permanent member in three bands, being: Graeme Hugo and Ironbark, Alison Hams and Young Country and Crossfire. Kimberley has also played in the popular bands ‘The Sherrahs and Maryanne and Co’. Right now she plays bass and sings lead vocals in the popular SA band ‘Fine Form’, a party/pub rock outfit which concentrates mainly on taking music to Outback Australia for Rodeo’s, Bronco Branding’s and other Festivals. This band consists of herself, Jodi & Craig Stringer, and Mathew Nitschke, whom she married in November 2006.
Kimberley has also had a very successful solo career throughout her years as a performer. She has provided harmony vocals for Kasey Chambers and Adam Harvey, and has also provided harmony vocals for Kerry Ellen and the ‘Radio Cowboys’, as part of the ‘Open Road 3’ compilation album through ABC Country. Kimberley provided her guitar and vocal skills for ‘Talia Wittmann’ when she recorded her debut CD in 2002, and continued to play and sing for her CD release and promotional shows. Her musical abilities and vocal skills are now being widely sourced for other artists who are both recording, and performing live.
As a solo artist and band member, Kimberley has traveled extensively throughout regional Australia to play to many different types of audiences for many different causes. She has traveled to Tamworth several times, where she has performed at the South Australian Showcase, and the “Hillbilly Jam” which is hosted by Bill Chambers. Kimberley also had the honour of opening rock legend Normie Rowe’s ‘Missing in Action’ tour in Tamworth 2000. She has also travelled to Lake Charlegrark, where she released her debut EP “Something I Just Had To Do” in 2005. Kimberley is currently working on material for her new album which she plans to start recording early next year.
