Mom's Song
Words by Ted Lehman, Music by Ted Lehman & Randy Bishop Copyright 1998
(D-Bm-Em-A) (G-(F#)-Em-Am-D) (G-D-Am7-D)
what does it mean to have children
and raise them untill their grown
be with them through their high's and lows
how could you have known
you fed me when I was hungry
you changed me when I was wet
you read me funny stories
and all with out regret
you helped me grow in many ways
as you watched me go to school
you understood what was happening
when the other the other kids were cruel
then as I got older
and I became teenage
I thought you couldn't understand
as I began to change
off I went to college
I moved away form home
you were always with me
cause I never felt alone
I think I turned out pretty good
I hope you would agree
I couldn't have done it with out you
that is plain to see
through the tears and through the years
your job was never done
there was always love between us
I will always be your son
I am glad of that you're my mother
you are the only one
I will always love you
I will always be your son
