Clear Blue Tears
This slow blues tune came from an idea from a discussion on Facebook, with some of my Blues buddies from the MP3 Blues Allstars.
Special Thanks to: Kevin Paul and John Cohmer, for inspiration and a great title. Technical expertise: Tom Manion, Drums: Michael Leasure
For all my friends in the MP3 Blues Allstars this ones for you...

Zombie State of Mind
I wrote the basic version of this song in the early 80's and made a recording that has gotten corrupted over the years. I was never really happy with that version so I decided to rewrite and rerecord it. I made some really fun changes to it. I think you'll enjoy. It's a bit long but stick with it to the end it will be worth it...

I Want My MP3
This song has been called the Indy artist anthem by some. It was actually an attempt at self promotion back in 1999 at MP3.com. I thought maybe I was finally in the right place at the right time. What do you think? Was I?
Review:
I Want My Mp3 as protest song... Ted ranks on The Man. Sure, he could whine and bellyache like I would singing a protest song. BUT NOOOOO... Ted has to get ironic and humorous. And toss in all that compelling instrumental stuff that hallmarks his arrangements. Harmoni

Close To You
This is really out of the box for me. It's a sweet love song about the good and the bad about living with a lover, who does things that annoy you but being willing to overlook those things because of the love you feel. It's in a style that's a bit country, a bit Pop and a bit easy listening. This would be a great song to cover for a Pop or Country Artist.

Back to the Blues Jam
This is the second song to be mixed and completed from the MP3 Allstars Covina Sessions April 2015 in California. We all went to a back room with nothing but acoustic instruments and gathered around microphones to record this wholesome blues number, written by Ted Lehman LIVE in the studio....Patti Sterling and Ted Lehman on lead vocals, Marla Wilke backup vocals, Edison Freeman on bass, Cliff Houck slide guitar, Kevin Paul (guitar) and John Cohmer blues harp...... what a fantastic day...

I think that my favorite genre to actually play is the Blues. I guess you could say I am a Blues man in my heart. I have been writing in many genres my whole life, just trying to create great songs, but lately I have felt that it was time to get back to my roots, "The Blues" so here's my quintessential Blues song for your listening pleasure. It's a straight 12 bar blues with everything a blues artist would want to find in a blues song. Classic references, soulful performance, blues harp and lead

I Don't Care
Here's my latest song "I Don't Care". I recorded the basic tracks live for the video, acoustic guitar and lead vocal. Then I added background vocals, bass and a second guitar. All recorded dry with no effects. As if I/we (all the me's) were all playing in the same room at the same time, with no frills. I eventually decided that the video didn't require any frills either. Just lil' old me playing my guitar and singing alone in my studio with no fancy edits or effects. In my heart I am really a fo

Mystery Man
This song lyrically is about being the subject of trash talking, and negative verbal abuse from the world. As usual with most of my music the end is an uplifting message of you can do what you like to me but it won't stop me from moving on. There is great energy in this track as well as some very strong music and performance. This is one of my favorite early analog 4 track recordings, done with very little real equipment.

Bad Daze
Have you ever had a "Bad Day" you know, the kind of day where nothing goes right? Well this song is about one of those kind of days. It has a bit of a Latin flavor/beat to it. The lyric is written in a very conversational style so much so you can imagine anyone telling you this story as opposed to singing it.

Fast Lane
This song is about driving in your car in the left lane when someone in front of you is cruising, in that same lane at or below the speed limit and has no intentions of getting out of the way, so you have to pass them on the right. They slow up traffic and piss a lot of people off including me.
This is a jazzy, bluesy, song that's got a bit of humor to it and an addictive hook. It's a song that most people can relate to especially if you drive a car.

It's About My Life

Review:
Bouncy new wave style. Very, very good use of title to create a strong lyrical hook. Very nice use of musical hooks throughout this song. Sections separated very well and their distinct roles brings a power to this song that propels it forward. Engaging and captivating lyrics that are delivered with a passion that makes the narrator instantly believable. There is no bitterness just a stance that it's not about you, its about me. Review:
My first thought when hearing this song was whoa..cool song. It has that pro quality sound to it, something all us independent home recordist try to strive for.
Ted turned in a great vocal performance, as well as some great guitar playing, supplying a generous amount of blusey guitar fills to keep guitar fans more than happy.

Review: Ted Lehmans a cool seasoned singer/songwriter recording in a bluesy rock style.. I really like Old Friends.. Its beautifully messy and energy driven with a really exuberant chaotic performance, Pete Townshend style busker-bashin' acoustic and joyful ringing hooks.. Its sunshine smiling and carrying some good spirit from the 70s on its journey into the new millennium..

Live For Today
Life is short so make the most if it prople.
Well, I've been listening to so much music of every genre recorded directly to hard drive that I almost forgot what 8-track analog even sounds like! (Except for Old Blue, which qualifies as an honorary digital recording it's so clear). Ted peddles this one as "great! garage".
Now I'm going to characterize it considerably differently. Live For Today is rather more like that one track that Events Directors at family-oriented resorts wanna hear before
