"Someday" was written by Jacob Bunton and recorded by Mars Electric for Atlantic Records in 1997, but was released by Columbia Records in 2000 on the CD Beautiful Something. Go buy it.
I believe the copyright is 1997 Wishtunes Music, but all my hardcopy CDs are back home in Birmingham.

Mars Electric is one of my favorite bands of all time, ever, and this song in particular has been in heavy rotation since high school. The production on this record is something I've always wanted to achieve on my own, or at least get close to it. Here's how I stack up in 2016.
I cheated a LOT on the guitar parts, as you can see. lol. Also, as you can see, no real drums. I live in an apartment currently, so I have to program my drum parts. Boo.

Someday
Maybe I could be the one to change your mind
When the color of red clouds my mind
So stop pretending I know your tongue is wrapped in lies
And now contrast falls and conversations pass me by
Someday
Whatever happened something must have changed
Someday
Crumbling world took it all away
You know it's all I ever wanted to be
Yeah life won't leave you stranded
And you know you're not thinking
How you leave yourself wide open
You're so
Look around she said, "I can be anything you want"
Someday
Whatever happened, something must have changed
Someday
Crumbling world took it all away
And you know that this fills me hollow
And you know that this feeling
And you know that this fills me hollow
Someday
Whatever happened, something must have changed
Someday
Crumbling world took it all away
Someday
