Hard to categorize this song. It's pop, it's soft rock, it's indie, it's a little alternative folk-rock, in the vein of Nick Drake. I picked "easy listening/soft rock as a 2nd genre, but it's not "easy listening" to me. It's a pretty song, a little quirky, to me. Thanks for listening

Another song written about the break-up with the love of my life. As Donald Fagen once sang "I cried when I wrote this song..." but it doesn't go very long at all. In fact, might be the shortest song I've ever recorded.

Now It’s Time
© 2016 By David Nyro
Now it’s time to say good-bye
Don’t know why, we say good-bye
Ding - dong, the clock is wrong
But it’s time to say good-bye
I’ll be your swan song,
I’ll be your long gone
I’ll be your once upon
a time in the kingdom
Now we put away our toys
All our games, all our ploys
Say our prayers and say good night
Turn away and douse the light
Now we close the sacred book
on all the love that we took
I gave you all I had to give
But I had to save some so I could live.
Good - bye
Now it’s time to say Good-bye
Don’t know why, we say good-bye
Ding - dong, the clock is wrong
But it’s time to say good-bye
