We were playing in YeTI’s living room and had borrowed our high school’s PA system for some reason I can’t remember so it was quite loud. Our keyboardist in the Sunset era Hugh Dogg started busting out some circus music. We started playing along and I started improvising the most ridiculous lyrics I could come up with about a crazy circus where the elephants pinch your ass. As we were shutting down there was a knock at the door. YeTI opened it to reveal two police officers. They told us we couldn’t play that loud and one of us replied “that’s ok we’re done anyway”. When we recorded it we had no idea where Hugh Dogg was at the time so we recorded it as best we could. The song never really had real lyrics until the recorded version. I hadn’t written any so when it was “go time” Ryan Blais handed me the mic and said “this is it then I’m pressing record and whatever comes out, that’s what it is.” He did and it was.
