Observation Station
The message is serious, the vocal is sincere and the instruments are well played but the tune and the little minor switches and "Ooh" moments are where I find some artistic thinking. It's a big musical picture that hangs well - you can look right into it and find those carefully crafted touches. Obviously listeners will appreciate this as a solid Alternative Rock song but does it remind them of anything else they've heard? No, it's unique but still very approachable. The artist made some intelligent strokes here.
