Visited New Bedford yesterday...you really can see the 1800's still, during part of which New Bedford was the wealthiest city in America. At the whaling museum several years ago I came across a man who shared the same first and last as my grandfather...this whaling fellow was noted to have been picked up in Oahu by the Elizabeth, and he came ashore in NB in early 1847. A sign of weakness
this is an approximately true tale about someone to whom I have been very close my whole life...for the vamp, I pulled out a jazz guy's idea of a rock line,,,first teacher Tony DiFasio was probably the only actual genius I ever worked with (maybe just an exagerration from my low frame of reference-though my IQ of 89 is like an A minus where I come from, so folks should pay close attention.

Missing my life away
I do remember, Eagle-man. I made up this song a few years ago...hadn't listened to it for a long while. Last week I visited an old friend who is 70% lost to Parkinson's but still fresh on our boyhood friendship. Two rooms away I could hear an old woman weeping inconsolably like a child...for some reason, I pictured my own wife in such a state with me passed on and nobody to console her. It did cost me a tear. I thought again of "Missing my life away."
