Perhaps Dan Aykroyd, aka Ellwod Blues, said it best when he introduced our song, “Play My Numbers" on The House of Blues Radio Hour, “Mahajibee is a nonsense word. It’s a word you use when the word you want to use just isn’t coming to mind. It’s also the name of a no-nonsense blues band out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They have been bringing their brand of hard working blues since 2000.Two lead guitars, my friends. Songs about love and money. What more do you want? Oh. They look real good in black.”
We are honored to have donated performances to local charities such as Music for the Sago Miners Victims families, The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, Pittsburgh Police Fallen Officers and laid off Officers, Pittsburgh Conroy Educational Center and Students with Special Needs, The West Virginia National Guard and its Family Relief Fund, The Ronald McDonald House, Circle C Youth and Family Services, Benefit for Ovarian Cancer Research, and 911, Katrina victims, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memphis, TN, Disabled American Veterans.
Some our most cherished opportunities and experiences include opening for Mr. B.B. King, playing The King Biscuit Blues Festival, Helena, Arkansas, The Heritage Music Festival, Wheeling, West Virginia, The Pittsburgh Blues Festival, Hartwood Acres, Pittsburgh, PA, The Charlie West Blues Fest, Charleston, WV, Olde Pickerington Jazz & Blues Ribfest, Pickerington, Ohio to name a few.
