One of the things I strive to do is create thought provoking music with a dash of storytelling. Lawrence Wise said...That groove is one of the most original funk-n-soul riffs I've heard in years. It's trademark. Those lyrics are sharp, and when the chorus comes around, I LOVE the way the vocalist TWISTS (P***ce couldn't say the phrase "I'm A Star" as funky as THIS!). Another thing that I really love was compacting ALL that Power and complex arrangements in 3 minutes-and-some-pocket change. Now, that's GENIUS! CandyAppleBlue from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania said...Spaceman is out there! This song is out there in a good way. The track is called "Mr. Spaceman". I think that this is a religious reference to GOD. The vocalist asks many questions to "Mr. Spaceman" in this song. Like can you get us out of here? I am thinking here means lift us off of planet earth? Any way the lyrics are a breath of fresh air! Just looking back when I was teen, I had my first job as a dish washer in a restaurant in Orlando, FL, I remember telling one of the cooks "I'm going to be a songwriter," he laughed and handed me a dirty pan.
