Sense Less
I read the Political Pipeline but have never posted before - but this song belongs here I think. No matter what your politics are I think it's pretty universal that with all the propaganda flying around in every direction, the general atmosphere in the US has changed from a pretty upbeat place to a frustrating place. Everyone has the touchstone of truth in their own self and I'm thinking that's the most reliable source of vetting information at this point.

I thought it was pretty good, sort of a lounge song.

Yeah, decidedly lounge. I’m the happiest chatting from my seat at the bar late in the afternoon on a weekday - Happy Hour. I’ve had the best conversations with people I don’t know in that atmosphere. We are all there to relax for a minute. They talk about the things they love - friends, family, travel, music, tv shows, sports, their homes, their pets - things way more important to them than politics. I just think we need to keep our perspective. Public opinion is everything. The politicians know it, the media knows it, but I think we forget that life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness (ie the dictates of our own personal opinions) is the law in this country, We all just want to be free to do the things we love to do. The people spending the money can scream at us all they like, but they can’t buy our thoughts and desires. Our opinion - public opinion can, however destroy any one of them overnight. We have that power which I would argue is greater than theirs. For sure it’s at least “ fifty fifty just two equal views”.
