Byron Paul Tomingas received his Bachelor's in Guitar Performance from the esteemed California Institute of the Arts, Valencia studying with such notables as Ravi Shankar, Morton Subotnick, Harold Budd, Leonard Stein and Cesare Pascarella. He also has attended Master Classes by most of the leading Classical Guitarists including acceptance into one of the last Master Classes by Maestro Andres Segovia.
Tomingas has appeared with major symphonies, Chamber Groups, on Public Television, radio and stage and is featured or appeared in over 30 Films, Movies and Videos.
Tomingas withdrew from touring over a decade ago and focused on composing and now only gives concerts in his home town, the resort area of Jackson Hole, WY. But regularly shows up at near the end of each Hootenanny which has been a tradition since he was a boy growing up in Jackson. There are 20 or more YouTube video's featuring the music of Byron Tomingas.
