I heard someone do this song on the radio the other day with a slight lyric change in the first verse and it reminded me how much I liked this song and how appropriate it still is-mother nature is still on the run as evidenced by the recent Tsunami in Japan and other "natural disasters."

Written for a friend who was trying to make a very difficult decision about her marriage and was concerned about the effect her decision could have on her three daughters.

A Child's Eyes
This song is based on a true story told to me by a survivor of the holocaust in Europe during World War II who watched her father being taken away to a concentration camp. At the gate to one of the camps was a sign that said something like "Work will set you free". As people entered the camp they were sent to the left or right-one meaning immediate death, the other meaning "life" in the camp. Hope all is well with you friend. You still playing with your garage band? Just checking in to see how you are doing. Been away from IAC for a while. I took down a bunch of my older recordings and kind of started over. Fun to blow things up every once in a while, don't you think? In any case, I put up some newer songs and new recordings of older songs. Have a listen when you get a chance and let me know what you think (especially about the newer tunes). Some day we have to get together and play!

It is always good to hear from you. My apologies for the snail responce, I have been so busy the last couple months. It is great to hear you are playing out/with the buds. I am listening to your music and I really do appreciate it. "Swim with the Tide" is very cool. Hopfully I will get more time to get caught up soon. Have a great time on the West Coast, It has always been a place where I have spent most of my life..up and down its beautiful shore.
Thanks for commenting on "Drifter", it is a song from the seventies I basically forgot about.

Thanks for stopping by. Great to hear from you. Sounds like you have a lot going on. Can't beat the live music! Glad you are enjoying. That makes me smile! I haven't played live now in a few years. My youngest is now six years old and I plan to start playing out again at some point in the next couple of years. Focusing on the family now. I am going to continue to record. I am currently in a slow process of reworking some of my songs to strengthen the vocals a bit. I really think this is going to help when I start playing live again.

Let's continue to stay in touch. You always inspire me when it comes to music. I really appreciate that!

So sorry! I have not sent the CD out yet. I have been completely swamped at work due to a couple big projects. I have basically been working and sleeping. My kids are having their Spring Break next week so I am taking much needed time off. I will be at home on Friday this week, so I'll plan to stick it in the mail.
