New Light Brigade are a 5 piece group hailing from Yorkshire in the UK. Their lead singer Karl Sloan is known to the IAC community for the singles 'Beauty at high tide' (2007) & 'Solid Gold' (2014) both of which reached No.1 on the IAC chart. Beauty at high tide also made the pop picks chart and topped the KIAC Hitline and has received around 6 million hits worldwide.
The group are influenced by a variety of styles including Folk/Rock, Alternative indie and even West Coast. They formed in 2010 but disbanded eighteen months later.
In 2010 & 2011 they performed at a number of UK festivals and at numerous venues in North/East Yorkshire and were broadcast on local BBC Radio stations Leeds & Humberside, as well as being aired on internet radio in the US, Germany and as far afield as New Zealand. They are currently working on a four track release with the new line up, and on bookings for next year and are very close to opening their new official website to the public. An update will be posted here at IAC the day it goes live.
