The vocals in this track are hauntingly sullen but the lyrics are meaningful, yet generic enough for the listener to add his/her own meanings where applicable, in my opinion the hallmark of all the best lyrics. At times we could have easily put more chord changes in, added a solo etc,etc,etc but the consistency of the track altered too much and we kept coming back to this format -- it just felt right -- and surely thats what its all about -- sticking with your own ideas -- trying to be original without trying to be original - you know what i mean.
