Understatement was a band from Chaput Hughes near Kirkland Lake Ontario Canada that existed from 1992 to 1994. It was my first band that wrote their own songs, first to record anything, first to play a show. In fact, it none of us had been in a band before but a few of us would go on to be mainstays in the local scene in other bands. We were around during early days of the local band scene that emerged in the 90s in our small little mining town and played our first show with The Subverts a band I grew to greatly admire and played with briefly after Understatement disbanded. While in this band I we also played shows alongside CRAgmatic Pope a band I would later join.

Follow the World (Live at the Platypus Gathering) Recorded live at The Platypus Gathering in early 1994. This was the first show that the Imperial Order of Low Budget put on outside of Kirkland Lake and when our scene started to change from a local scene into a regional one.
