Yudaxis Benitez Cabrera was born in Pinar del Rio (Cuba) on 08-30-1983.
At the age of 9 she began studying classical ballet at Performing Arts School. Subsequently, following drama and contemporary ballet courses in the 'Casa della Cultura' of Pinar del Rio, she completed her studies in a normal school.
At present Yudaxis dedicates her talents to singing, dance and songwriting.
'La Cosita' is a catchy song with a strong beat that Yudaxis wrote and first performed at the age of 23. The lyrics urge people to let go of all the sadness so we can get on with the pure joy of living.
In january 2007 Yudaxis signed up on cecchettofestival.com where she was singled out by Claudio Cecchetto who then arranged the release of her first single in Italy. 'La Cosita' was released on the ‘Universal’ label in June 2007.
