Canadian Geoff Lapp has me hooked. He's been a cornerstone of the Montreal jazz scene since 1999. Extended gigs at many of the town's premiere night spots have established the group as a hot draw for aficionados in search of that heady space where soulful and cerebral fuse. Drawing upon a wide palette of jazz moods, 'The Geoff Lapp Trio' delivers a sound that is tasteful, innovative, and infectiously swinging!

Longing
LYNNE ARRIALE’S latest CD “NUANCE – featuring RANDY BRECKER, GEORGE MRAZ and ANTHONY PINCIOTTI . In a departure from her ten previous trio recordings, leader/composer/arranger Arriale is collaborating with an extraordinary new lineup of iconic musicians: Grammy winning Randy Brecker. This new release displays a new creative direction for Arriale, as she continues her illustrious musical journey which began with a ten year run of her celebrated trio and continues to garner praise as ‘one of the most empathetic’ groups in jazz. This release, with iconic jazz masters Brecker and Mraz, brings even more heightened originality to Arriale’s sound as evidenced in her six powerful, new compositions and uniquely inspired arrangements of covers by composers as disparate as Sting, Thelonious Monk, Dizzy Gillespie and Tommy Wolf.

as above as below
AS ABOVE AS BELOW comes from Jimmy Dormie's debut release of "PREMONITION" . His music breathes with warm acoustic and electric guitar tones reaching deep into his soul to convey a holistic message of the blues. The songs are offerings/prayers for Mother Earth,Freedom,Fallen Ancestors and ultimately Peace...With a deep inspiraton of influences (Duane Allman, Jeff Beck, John Mclaughlin, Tony Rice and John Coltrane), the spirit is present here with a heart touching wisdom... Deep soulful tones are the trademark here for Jimmy...Music that is meant to heal and transcend peace***

Meddy Gerville
Blue Rondo A La Turk
“. . . Meddy Gervilles' version of ‘Blue Rondo’ is the fastest I've ever heard it played. He has remarkable technique. His improvisations show a great sense of composition and development . . .”
—Dave Brubeck
Meddy was born in St. Pierre—the largest city in southern Reunion Island—in 1974, and each step in his musical journey has led him towards his unique fusion of Jazz and Maloya, characterized by rhythms of his native island played on various homegrown instruments. I'm loving this version of Brubeck's classic!

Melissa Marquais
As Young As You Feel
Following in the family footsteps with a little help from Gran Melissa Marquais rediscovers her grandfather's music . Beautiful arrangements and smoky vocals make this an enjoyable album!
When Melissa learned of her late Grandfathers trials and triumphs as a famous composer in the 1950's she was determined to bring them back to life. Her Grandfather, Ernest G. Schweikert and Lyricist Frank Reardon wrote for the likes of Billie Holiday, Sammy Davis Jr., Guy Lombardo, Carmen MaCrae, The Four Aces, Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, etc. Having not received any of the royalties owed to him, Ernest became so disheartened and angry that he threw away all of the musical compositions he had ever written and never spoke of it again.

The Wimshurst's Machine is an award-winning 8-members italian chillout orchestra who plays warm, environmental music, crossing from chillout to rock, from world fusion to progressive electronica.
