One of those moments that keeps me going...
Last week, my wife's cousin's husband swung by my house from out of the blue to "share some music" with me. I like the guy, but I don't see him very often, so it was a bit of a surprise when he pulled in my driveway.
"Oh my god, I LOVE this record! You have to hear it!"
It was Chicken on a Bicycle.
He couldn't stop raving.
Yes he knew it was me, but...
"This is the first time an album has done this to me since high school! It's like I have to listen to every song, beginning to end!"
He was genuinely excited.
Made my whole week!

I'm happy for you, Todd! I know you invested much time, energy and resources into that CD and you deserve kudos for being so passionate about your music. Keep in mind that even the Beatles were rejected at the beginning (by Decca, Columbia, Phillips and others) but they had their true believers like you have yours and eventually your creative genius will be recognized too.

Ultimately, we all want to be appreciated for what we do. Our music is an extension of ourselves and it is always personally gratifying to see someone excited about what they have heard. Those are the moments that I like to file away and pull back out whenever my old nemesis (doubt/discouragement) come to call. There is no denying your talent and worth as a musician and songwriter. You deserve to be respected and applauded. I too am happy for you man.
Much Respect,
Stoneman

Someone tells you they have to listen to every song beginning to end! I think I would (pitifully) take longer than a week to quit being thrilled about that haha - Glad you had that wonderful feed back.
