So, what is/are your main axe(s)?
Don't think that we've ever talked about this before but, as I am expecting to get my first new electric in 25 years, and only my second, ever, I got to thinking about what you all play.
So, what are your main axes?
For me...
Both are shown in this pic, along with a resonator guitar that I use only occasionally.
Electric: 1988 Jap-built Fender Squire Stratocaster.
Tweaked it a lot, with a Chandler Hot Rails pickup in the bridge position (w/coil-splitter switch), replaced the bone nut with a graphite one, and blocked the crappy locking trem.
Acoustic: 1993 Epiphone EO-1.
So, how about you?

First off, I should confess that I am not a great musician. Clearly my top skills are songwriting, production and vocals. But, I happen to play some instruments good enough to do session work in my studio. But not live. I play on my studio recordings mainly because I don't have the resources to pay other musicians to play and I refuse to expect people to work for me for free. I haven't done the "band" thing in many years but when I was doing it I played mostly rhythm guitar and keys when I wasn't singing. But most times I was the front man or lead vocalist. I seldom played and sang at the same time because I am horrible at that skill. Just keeping it real.
That said, in my studio I have and play:
Korg X50 keys, Korg N364 keyboard, Yamaha DX7 keyboard, Olympic Guitar, Fender Bass, Seagull Acoustic Guitar. Roland V Drums, Gretsch Drums, Allora Saxophone and Allora Trumpet. Even though I seldom play my horns these days due to health reasons, many years ago they were my main instruments. Nothing fancy here. Just enough stuff to make my music palatable for recording and demo purposes. But my main axe "live" is my voice.
