Really a nice song, Todd. That middle break is a nice surprise. It's so thick it feels like a keyboard patch. This song has really haunting sounds in it at places. The band has a little of that canned feel - I'd love to hear a live band do this - there are lots of places that individual personalities could come out.
The song sticks with me and makes me want to hear it again, which is always a good thing. Nice work.

The "canned" sound is actually by design. I was looking to set something really natural-sounding (the resonator guitar) in a very artificial framework. I like that juxtaposition.
The little artificial-sounding drum fills were actually played by a human, on an electronic kit, and we pulled a sound to be triggered by the midi signal.
But everything really is actually played by people -- even the artificial sounding stuff.

One of my favourites i've heard from you Todd..Very atmospheric n evocative..The instrumentation n arrangement is sooo cool too..Its like you've really got the transcendent other-worldly vibe you're often aiming for here..As Tom says -Def makes you wanna play it again -which is always a good thing..

Really appreciate the kind words, too! This one took a lot of work. And, to tell you the truth, I still hear things that I want to tweak. But, it's just time to leave this one alone, I think.

Just uploaded the MASTERED version to IAC. (It's at the same page -- just replaced the unmastered version with the mastered one.)
It's not up at the Bandcamp page yet. I want to wait until the album is completely assembled until I put it up there. And then, I will master all the songs, together.
Hope you check it out and hear something in in there. It sounds a lot better.
