All options to promote on the web: iLike
Do any of y'all use iLike as well?
Do you have a link on your page?
Please let me know, because I think that part of the beauty of this community is the fact that we all help each other out. I know that I am friends with and a fan of more than one of you over at Facebook and other such sites. IAC may be our musical "home", but there is no doubt that in integrated attack on the ears and sensibilities of the entire internet is the most-effective way of getting not only each other heard, but then also of getting folks to come over to IAC to check everyone out.
Anyhoo... I did wind up putting an iLike box over at my page. So, if you wanna iLike me, that would be very cool. And, if you put a box over at your page, I will certainly iLike you... at least those of you whose music I am a fan of.
And lets begin our all-out, integrated assault on the internet, and bring the whole mess over here!!!

Hi Todd - we have an iLike page via GB too!
Still trying to get to grips with it! (Not as user friendly to me as IAC!)

It's definitely not as user-friendly, but the Facebook interface with the "Sounds Like" connections to other "known" artists should help a lot if you get a lot of new fans there.
Again, with the right kind of cross-promotion, we can also use it to get folks over here.
Is there a banner code that we can embed over at our iLike pages that would link folks here? And, if there are enough bands with that banner over there, I think that more folks will start discovering that there are a LOT of great bands here that they can discover.
Also, if some of the bigger name bands here, used that banner at their iLike page, that could give a GINORMOUS boost to the site, as well.
Like I said, it's all about cross-promotion.

Are you kidding me?
Because I mention another music site on here, the thread was taken off the front page?
It's about promoting the ARTISTS on here.
And also about promoting IAC.
But, it's not my site.
No interest in something like this, Toby?

I wasn't the mod who moved this thread, but it does mention this kind of thing in the pipeline rules. Wouldn't surprise me if it came off to the mod who moved it like it was just a veiled attempt to get iLike friends, cause that's sort of how it looked to me.

Not a problem.
I'm just kinda teasing y'all at IAC anyway. I should have expected it.
But do you get my point about the cross-promotion on other sites? How do you feel about it?

The teasing is only about my petulance for being removed from the front page.
The cross-promo thing I am dead serious about.
I do think it would work given the right execution.

Great idea. How do you make the iLIKE thingamyjobber to put on your page here? I couldn't see it on my iLIKE dashboard.

OK - Back on track!
Only problem is I have 0 fans on iLike! Every week get a flat line graph!
The cross platform IDea is sound! Nothing like a bit of cross pollination!
And I have to say...IAC is unique out there (or have I stopped looking?)
