"C'mon Angel" is at #12 on the Country charts!
Well, it's the closest I've been to either the Underground 40 or the Big 50, so I thought I'd have my own little celebration here:
C'mon Angel
Oh yeah, and it's just a demo of a song that I'll be re-recording as soon as I can cobble together the cash that I need to do so. So, just you wait!
Anyway... thanks to all of you who have been listening to the song. And especially to Neil, whose Tribute to Johnny Cash station seems to have generated the most plays for the song.

Todd - We need more musical angels like you on this earth. Heard a small portion of the song and then it wouldn't play, but I like what I heard. Hope these glitches are fixed soon. I've been having the same problem. Will listen to whole song asap.

Thanks Ray.
Yeah, I already have a note into Tech Support about that issue. Most of my songs are not playing now.
I hate it when that happens.

Todd - C-Mon Angel is a revelation! I didn't know you could get that earthy! I love the vocals and the whole Johnny Cash vibe. It's very authentic. You mentioned this was a demo. Are you going to produce it further?

Thanks, Phlegmster.
Both for the kind words and for the add to your station. You've always been very supportive. I'm thinking that, if you like the old stuff, the new stuff will blow your mind. But then, that just sounds like hyperbole. Still... I think it's light years ahead. (Recording this weekend.)
Also, the live stuff is back up now; everything is.

I can't wait to hear the "produced" version. (It sounds great as is but the producer in me is addicted to hearing things as they would sound with all the trimmings.)
Thanks so much, Richard!
I'm hopingthe produced version will maintain that same earthiness. I plan on keeping it simple, with just the acoustic, bass, drums, and a trap kit. Still mixing (and recording) in mono, with a little slapback on the vocal.
Real Sun Records-style!

Good plan, Todd. Some harmonica would be cool but that's just my biased opinion
'cause I love the old mouth harp. (no double meaning intended :-)

Hi Todd!
That is very cool man! I'm very happy for you. I think the closest I ever came was in the 300 range and can't even imagine what it must be like to be that high on the charts.
Congratulations my friend!

What a great track, man! Puts me in mind of Townes Van Zandt. Love it. If it shows up with a thousand plays you'll know it's me.
