So, I'm being covered... TWICE. Make that THREE times!!!
Yep.
Pretty cool.
I always find it the highest compliment that a musician can pay to another is to cover one of their songs. And, as a songwriter, I cannot think of a higher compliment that I can receive.
I have had 4 songs covered (well, one of those is a remix) by others and, all are flattering as hell. But now, I am having another TWO covered... both by IAC artists that are more than capable of writing their own outstanding tunes.
Neither of these covers are available on IAC (yet), so I will keep their identities to myself, but I got one of those covers in my email unexpectedly yesterday and... it was cool!
I'm keeping a playlist on my iTunes of all of these versions and it is one of my greatest joys outside of my family.
Thanks to both of you... you know who you are. You make me happy.
And I only post this publicly, not to brag, but to beam and be happy and offer a public "thank you". Too cool.

Make that 7 songs covered!
Unbeknownst to me, back in 1999, my former bandmate in Cash Cow (Rich - lead guitars) decided to do his own acoustic version of our tune "Whiskey". He just sent me the mp3 and it's damn good!!!
I can't post it here, because it's not my recording, but I'm waiting to hear back from Rich to see if he'll let me share it with others.
My wife thinks that we need to move to Nashville.
Just one hit... that's all I need!!!

TODD -- you're a GREAT song writer, so it's no suprise that you've got great musicians like Jesse Adams and others coverin' your tunes...
Harry Nilson made it big off of somebody else doin' his music, before he got recognized for the genius he is.
