Give me a reason to keep this song up at IAC
"New Year's Eve"
I mean, I'm hoping to re-record it for the next record, so there'll be a new version of it available soon (if I can find the right musicians). But, it's gotten no traffic, so I'm thinking that it's time to take it down.
Plus, it's almost New Year's Eve, so I wanna see if I can muster up some holiday traffic!
Admittedly, it's a downer of a take on the Holidays, but... why not?
So... any reason to keep it here?

I don't want to. I just am not sure that alone is worth keeping this bad boy up online, if it ain't gettin' no play.
Will you be my wing man?

Cuz ... although it may not be your finest hour ... it proves you really ARE human Todd ... If you just put up GREAT song after GREAT song ... I fear I will not like you anymore ... :)

There ya go. Ya got 'nuther listener, hookay. It's not a happy tune, but I like the juxtaposition of kind of sad lyrics with mostly happy notes on the guitar...
"still don't got a job that pays the rent ...every new years eve is the same..... and I drop the ball..."
I say keep it up there AT LEAST 'til you've got the bitchin' studio version up, ya know? I like it. I'm puttin' it on PHLEGM PHAVORITES, in honor of new years eve.... so there's another reason not to delete it for a minute -- yer on a TOP 20 station with it (cross your fingers, and we'll stay there!)

Here's another reason ... You started a trend ... Look at the title of the first song in the new releases ... :)
... you don't wanna screw with Karma .... :)

Todd,
I think this tune is great. I am a sucker for these stripped down live songs. It leaves the artist with nothing to hide. I like to hear a tune at it's raw core. My vote is for you to keep the song up. There are enough people at IAC (and likely more to come over time) that like to delve deep into an artist's tunes once they get a dose and like what they hear. I know that most listeners probably aren't like that, but I know they are out there. While it's true that most people are going to gravitate to your most popular songs, I think it's a good idea to leave a range of songs up for those weirdos (like me) who actually like to listen to a bunch of material. That's just my opinion and the approach I take personally with my own tunes.
Best, -JP
