Something deep for you all to ponder.
Perhaps the greatest philosopher of the 20th century was not an academic, nor a statesman, but a boxer.
Witeness:
"Rivers, ponds, lakes and streams - they all have different names, but they all contain water. Just as religions do - they all contain truths."
-Muhammad Ali
God love that man.

Jill: cool stuff. I liked the long, but informative intro he did at the beginning...
Thanks for sharin' this!
It'll be REAL cool to meet musicians like this in the UK & collaborate one day.
Sigh. Who knows? It could happen!
We installed the latest version of Photoshop, and she's layin' the groundwork for her masterpiece. Will get back to you on it when we've taken the Lettering for the back & she's finished a rough draft of FRONT/BACK... or possibly the final draft.
The ONE idea she has your gonna love....it does a great honour to the spirit of DirgeK

Yes, Ali had it going on. It seems perhaps he was a fan of the original western philosopher, Thales of Miletus, who said, "All is water."
So true.

I've taken to using this quote in a lot of my work and writing. It's from Bruce Lee and, it seems that he's just cut to the core of the artistic pursuit - if it doesn't talk to a mix session, I don't know what else would - but also what reams of business books (my real life breaking through here) seem to miss:
“In building a statue, a sculptor doesn’t keep adding clay to his subject. Actually, he keeps chiselling away at the inessentials until the truth of its creation is revealed without obstructions. It is not daily increase but daily decrease; hack away the unessential."
Be peaceful and excited by a new year of potential,
Vince (M68)
