Yeah, I put it on here for streaming, but can I RELEASE it like this?
"C'mon Angel" is a pretty solid little demo, I think. But that was all I was thinking that it was.
I do want to re-record it with a full band, but time, logistics, and other circumstances seem to be dictating that, if I want to release the song on the next album, it will have to be in it's current form.
Do you think that it holds up as is?
Does it just need a mix tweak, or should I just hold it back altogether until I can record it with a full band?
Looking for a little advice, here.
Thanks!

Sounds pretty good to me,
Well perhaps it could as you say "tweak" a couple of points where the vox is slightly low in the level, but theres not much actually "bad" about it at all :)
But I think it really depends on the context of the rest of the album,
my tuppenny worth :)

Love the tune Todd ... I do wish your Vox was louder though ... It's what makes this tune shine ...

Hi Todd - I too am liking this! Could slot into Live Performances
quite well!
Reminds me of a guy called Dave Cousins who fronted a band
called The Strawbs!

Hi Todd... I like it too, however agree with Sam, your vocals are getting drowned out by the music just a bit... it's not really bad... but if it's something you're able to correct, I think it would be worth your time.

I like the song as is. If you did it with a full band it would lose some of it's intimacy and it's freedom of movement. It's a perfect Americana singer/songwriter song. I agree the vocals could be raised just a little bit.

Whoa. Trippy ending.
Scary character. Very. So sincere and such a psycho. Yikes.
Turn up your voice if you can, and throw a harp on that interlude if you like.
Pretty bold...
Sure don't want a band. Would like a harp and more voice...
Really good work...
Sounded like you said, "be the only one to fuck you..." but I'm sure you didn't.
Would be the thing that guy would say, though. Maybe you did...
Ending is killer...
Psycho killer

Terrific tune! Like some other folks said, the vox are buried in the mix and they're too good to hide.
It seems like you have some johnny cash style echo/verb..maybe bring that up a hair after bringing up the levels?

Bob, are you a mind reader?
I have a friend who is a harmonica virtuoso, who is dying to play on this song.
Also, Sly, I think you are 100% about kicking up the slapback a little.
Thanks everyone for the comments.
This is really the first character-driven song that I've written and I'm glad that it seems to be effective.
