Hey Larree: Who's The Guitar God NOW?!?!
No disrespect, but I say that it's:
Pete Anderson
(The former guitar player/producer with Dwight Yoakam.)
Seriously, this guy is one of the best, period!
And then, non-IAC related, there's this:
Prince playing on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"
And yeah, that's George Harrison's kid standing behind Prince, with the acoustic; having his mind blown along with everyone else. I mean, his dad was a Beatle, and even he is in awe of the little man.

Todd, I was gonna mention Prince, but I couldn't remember the name of the video. Thanks! Prince is very underrated as a guitar player.

I have always loved Prince's music, and I completely agree that he is underrated as a guitarist. But I don't get what's so great about this 2:30 minute solo. Yeah, there are some tasty licks in there, but there is no flow or connectedness to it all. And I don't especially see any of the band members getting that much out of it either. Petty looks downright embarrassed! ;p
Would like to see what Gilmour could have done with this one! Now THERE'S a guitar god!

Honestly, I think Prince did a better solo with The Time"s songs, "Get It Up" & "777-9311". It doesn't say he played on there (Jesse Johnson was the lead guitarist, but never seen Jesse do that solo live), but he went by other names in his work with his artists. You can tell it's him by the style. If I can find the You Tube Videos with the songs, I'll put them up...
