Hop On Pop - Chicken On A Bicycle (CD, Spade Kitty, Pop)
Wow...such a great band name, hard to believe no one thought of it before. Hop On Pop is the project driven by the songwriting skills of Todd Leiter-Weintraub. Joining Todd on these recordings is David Kling and various other artists/musicians. The humorously-titled Chicken On A Bicycle kicks off with the slightly goofy "Here"...an instantly addictive tune that sounds not unlike My Dad Is Dead in some ways. Many of the tunes on this album are pure pop but there are some acoustic solo tracks as well. Leiter-Weintraub proves himself to be an excellent songwriter. When he's "on" he comes up with songs that are remarkably appealing and intelligent. Ten tracks including "Here," "Tortured Artist" (a really cool standout cut), "I'm Pathetic," and "Happy Days." This came very close to being a top pick this month. We'd be willing to bet that the world will be hearing some even more amazing stuff from this peculiar little band in the very near future.

And now, the wait begins for more...
Although the new record did get listed at AllMusic.
So that's something. It would be more something, if we could get this one reviewed there, like the first one did.
This is the time when the post-release blues sets in.

Hop On Pop was played on WLUW (88.7 FM) this afternoon! And, whaddya know? It's "Happy Days": the song that has Sharon singing lead and the boys joining in at the end!!! (also a song that is not posted here at IAC.)

VERY COOL TODD!!! I'm happy for ya'!!! I'm glad some of your songs are getting radio play. In case you get more airplay on radio, are you with BMI or ASCAP so you can get some performance royalties?

Todd,
I still believe "Come On, Let's Go" is the best song on the Album. You really need to push that for Film/T.V. I really think you have something special there. In a movie, or a "Grey's Anatomy" episode. They always play cool songs in the background of a dramatic Scene. It would work great...
That's the way to go for you, I believe that is my best avenue as well.
Anyway, I just wanted to throw that out there.
