First gig of 2009....
The first 1/4 of the year is almost over already. This will be our first gig in 2009 (seems like a slow start)
Anyway, it in Osaka, at The Cellar, April 11 from 8pm.... and it's FREE.
We're on first at 8pm sharp with a full 45min set..
Next up is the Sentinels, and Excuse Me (I saw them do a great show at a count down party 2008-2009).
I guess most of you pipeliners are no where close to Osaka..... but if you are and come along, say hi to me (I'll be the guy with the yellow telecaster, and singing the BEER song)
We also plan to play a Cramps song in memory of Lux Interior

First gigs are cool after "hybernating" for a while and you get that great burst of energy going. I know you'll be sounding great!
Out here in N. Calif., all of the venues demand demos and portfolio packages now. Especially for the larger venues. I've spent a lot of the last few weeks getting together demo tunes for one of the bands I play with. Got a cool package together, went out and made some contacts, landed our first gig of 2009 (apr-4) only to have to cancel because one of the band members now has to move that weekend. I'm ready to pull my hair out. I think they'll re-schedule though.
Anyways, Good Luck My-T-Hi!

Cheers guys
Duane, that is such a pain to have to cancel after putting all the work in to get the gig.
You're right about doing a gig after a bit of a break. We had been doing some recording, but will have a regular practice tonight... I'm quite looking forward to that too.
We already gog the 2nd gig organized too for May 16.. and I'll play drums in another band at Takatsuki Jazz Stree on May 3... So looks like 2009 will start rockin for me at last... Hope your gig Duane, gets re-scheduled without too much hastle.
Cheers again

Cheers Sam
We had a great time... maybe not pollished, but lots of fun. "Beer" went down well, so did "Taiwan".
I took a video camera, but forgot to take it out the bag.... ooops
