Grand Canyon At Sundown
This is a song that was inspired by the hymns and folk songs that existed in the mid to late 1800's. That was the feel i was going for in the music while the vocals were influenced by my appreciation for the harmonies of the Beachboys and the Eagles.
It's an ode to the wonder and spirituality of nature with a view toward the eternal questions of why we are here and what lies beyond. It may not be everyone's taste but it speaks to me and perhaps it will speak to you.

Yes it's a beautiful song, beautifully sung with great feeling. I like the production too - all the lyrics are lovely and clear and wonderful guitar work. Classic kind of song!

Thought I commented on this one already. Must have been having a senior moment. Anyway, have listened to it many times and even though this is not a genre I frequently listen to, I find it to be strikingly splendid. The music is perfectly produced and the backing vocals are right on point. The lead vocalist sounds like his voice was made for this song. Wonderful lyrics! All around great song and it certainly deserves "Hitline" recognition. You use to surprise me with your versatile music genre expertise. But now? I always expect the best from you no matter what you are doing. You always deliver!
Much Respect,

Thank you so much, Stoneman. My next compositions will be be very different from
the style of this song. They'll be more upbeat and contain elements from various genres like RnB/soul, Gospel, and Americana blues. In some cases, all in one song!
I hope these songs will be perceived as different from anything I've done before.
I have to keep my work fresh so that it will excite me because if it doesn't excite me it won't excite others. Boredom is my enemy! When it seems like I'm just recycling
my old material, I'll pack it in.
