I appreciate being added to such a prestigious station. I was trying to say in your shout box that you are great at A & R but for some reason the ampersand (&) would not print!! hence the three unsuccessful attempts to do so. Anyway, let me reiterate here that it is an absolute joy to have one's song reviewed in that manner. I think it's a wonderful example for all station managers to follow. It shows that the manager really listened to the song and gave it considerable time and thought as well as creativity.
It's always a gas to get an add but to get an add with a colorful insightful review is really rewarding and makes you feel that your work was truly appreciated. Thank you, Bryon!

Thank you, Bryon, Chandra, Stoneman and Gerry! I feel very encouraged
by this response. I was on a self-imposed sabbatical for a while. But I'm back in the saddle now and looking forward to writing more positive upbeat stuff. Thanks again for the very kind words and support. It means the world to me.

Nice classic-sounding opening. That slide really has a great personality. This is a really well produced track. How you put sounds together has always been impressive. You've got a killer ear. For having been off the bike for a bit, you sure have come back strong!

Thanks, Tom. That means a lot to me, coming from you as I know you have high standards. Prior to writing this song I had the flu and felt horrible. It took a long time to rest and recover and the song was kind of a celebration of health!

Very enjoyable exhuberant track Richard..Particularly dig the 'time heals these battle scars' section..Some sweet chord changes there manLots of energy n vitality here..Sounds like it would've been a mega-hit on FM radio in the 70s -which i consider a compliment ! :)

Really nice Richard. I like it. I could hear someone like Rod Stewart doing this. Really good job...

Thank you Steve. That pre chorus is my fav part of the song too. I'm a sucker for those Hall and Oates inspired hooks where the song suddenly takes an unexpected
turn - switching from major chords to minor chords and then reaching a crescendo at the chorus. Now if I could just build a time machine!
And thank you Stephen ~ That's a very astute observation about Rod Stewart. I love the sound of his voice and often write with that style of singing in mind.

Thank you for the great review, Delores. Yeah, we really spent a lot of time on the vocals and Glen is a joy to coach. It was fortunate that we became friends and that he was willing to take time from his busy touring schedule to do a bunch of sessions with me. It's a thrill to work with such a pro. He's presently out of the country and I'll be working with some new singers until he gets back. Some of them I found right here
at IAC!
