Thank you so much for all your kind words, Sir Bryon. It's because of people like yourself that I do what I do. It always blows my mind that you take the time and the creative energy to write such generous and specific reviews. You've turned reviewing into your own unique art form and it's difficult to find the words to express what it means to me as an artist. You have rare ability to not only appreciate the "art part" of every song but you also focus on the technical stuff which is pretty amazing. When you describe a specific riff or hook in one of my songs, it make me remember creating and polishing that riff for hours and wondering if it was worth it to spend so much time on a very small thing that might not even get noticed or appreciated and yet you notice that thing and it makes all the work worthwhile!!

Well hot damn Richard that'ts three in a row. What ever you are doing in your production these days don't touch it.
Reminds me of Def Leppard specifically pyromania with those big chorus and big guitars.
I give you props man you honed your craft and it sounds great.

Thank you so much, Stoneman and Ken! Being appreciated by one's peers is the ultimate form of validation. I have a bad habit of always underestimating my work before anyone else has heard it. But it has it's advantages because it makes me work harder to make it worthy of these kinds of reviews. I always post each song with a tremendous sense of trepidation because I'm never certain of the reaction. Then I'm pleasantly surprised when the response is so positive.
By nature I tend to avoid risk in my everyday life but I learned to take risks with my music. We all fear rejection to some extent and I'm no different in that regard. As an artist, I aim to please, especially when colleagues give me the kind of encouragement I get at IMP. I hate letting people down or not meeting their high expectations. Every accolade simply inspires me to step up my game in order to live up to the praise and I appreciate the support more than I can actually express in words so I'll try to let the songs speak for themselves. They are much more articulate than I am.

You beat me to the punch, Richard posting a link to Bryon's review of this tune. I was going to do the same thing because it's just how I feel about this song, but could never have said it just right.
Love this new song and I would mention that since you did that tune about the Home Town Band, your production has taken on a really cool and different quality than all the other work before that. I can't describe it any better than to say it seems like a different dimension .. anyway I really like it.

Thank you, Delores. I've always been fascinated by a different dimension like the Twilight Zone! That was a show that was really timeless and conveyed the sense of wonder about our inner and outer existences. You never knew where each episode was going until it got there and then there was a surprise twist. This was a master class in story telling and character arcs. The protagonist was always relatable and always in search of answers that we all seek. The stories were about the human condition and often the subjects of these tales were troubled and lost but they persevered. Sometimes they never found the answers they sought but they did the best they could with what they had. They tried to find hope where hope was in short supply. They had a lot in common with the characters in my songs.

Oh totally on the whole concept of The Twilight Zone! I was thinking more in terms of quality of sound though - the last few songs seem to be coming from another place sort of. In contrast to the bigger than life up front sound of previous stuff, it seems these sounds come sort filtered through some really cool and different place.... not being Bryon Tosoff, I may never get what I'm trying to express across haha - and maybe I'm reacting on some esoteric level that no one else will relate to - there's always that. Love you work, Richard ...

@Delores - If my music makes you have an esoteric reaction - that makes me very happy!
It’s hard to know exactly what it is that causes certain reactions in listeners but my goal is to always try to reach people on a gut level. As time moves on I have felt a yearning to make my songs more relatable and share thoughts and feelings in a more intimate way - lyrically, musically and sonically. I’ve worked hard to try to make these three elements work together to create an overall sound that is personal as well as universal. In a more literal way I just keep working and mixing until it all moves me. I figure that if it moves me it might move other people.

Oh yes this is a very good catchy song which I added to Over The Moon the minute I first heard it - one of those songs that says it all. Well done.
And Bryon - yes always so encouraging after so many years always takes the time to listen to new music here whether polished like this track or a rough demo someone puts up for a second opinion he can see the potential in it!
Thanks to you all for the music and the encouragement! All The World's A Stage - I second that!
