1. Too often, especially when I've just finished one. I'll listen to it over and over on repeat until I deprive myself of sleep and begin to get tired of the song. That said I am usually picking everything apart and wondering what people of think of this part or that one rather than just casually enjoying the music.
2. I am a bit embarrassed by my old music but have the occasional listen to remind myself I've improved.
3. I do get nostalgic for when it was written, but as I said above I'm not overly comfort able with most of it.
4. All the time.
5. I am and will always be an albums person. So I stick with one artist for a while.
6. I still buy CDs. I have not ventured into the world of Vinyl yet, but eventually. I don't stream a lot unless I am checking out an artist or album to decide if it's worth purchasing. Only other exception is streaming music from you fine folks here on IMP.
7. Not actively.
8. Stereo / CD player generally.
9. Yamaha HS7s. A bit excessive for my room. I should have gone with the 5s.
10. Not often through a dock. Will listen on a phone if I am out of the house.
11. Haven't done so yet.
12. Hopefully no time soon. I am a dinosaur.
13. Haven't thought about it, but I can't say I never would.

1) I listen to the latest song I'm working on everyday and pick it apart in attempt to get it right. I play the song in my head continuously when I'm trying to sleep and review every aspect of it.
2) Once in a while I'll listen to an old song of mine and get a little nostalgic but I also get annoyed that I didn't know then what I know now.
3) The only silver lining in listening to old songs is that I can see that I learned a lot over the years.
4) I listen to IMP artists everyday and I listen to my fav iconic artists as well, like Dylan, The Allman Brothers, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Beatles and many more.
5) Sometimes I listen to whole albums but lately I've been listening to Music stations "On Demand" on my TV which is fun because I have no idea what I'm going to hear next. It's always a pleasant surprise and often I'll hear obscure songs I never heard before by famous artists.
6) I rarely stream anything. I do own a CD player and I do buy a CD now and then,
7) My cable company (Spectrum) has something called Music Choice which offers many channels that play different genres of music with no commercial interruptions and just still photos of the artists. Other than that I don't listen to the radio.
8) My TV sound is hooked up to a 200 watt amp and Reveal Tannoy speakers and my CD player is hooked up to the same amp and speakers.
9) I use M-Audio monitors when recording. I'm going to upgrade soon!
10) I intend to get a dock for my phone.
11) I stopped sending out CD demos a long time ago. I've developed some good contacts over the years and I only send songs digitally to those folks.
12) I hope CD's never go obsolete and DVD's too. But alas that's just wishful thinking.
13) I've never sent a demo on a USB drive but I'm considering it. It makes it easy to listen to. I know many people who simply do not own a CD player.

1) How often do you listen to your own music just to listen for fun and not work?
Never.
2) How often do you listen to music you've written a long time ago?
Sometimes.
3) How does your older work make you feel when you hear it now? Nostalgic? Do you see how it has evolved over time?
Not really nostalgic about it. I will listen to my old songs either for revival, rewrite, or to dig for scraps. So I guess when I listen to (and play) my old works it's like the evolutionary process in action.
4) How often do you listen to the work of other artists?
All the time.
5) Do you prefer to listen to individual songs by different artists or groups of songs by the same artist?
That depends. Sometimes I am revisiting a band, songwriter, or composer I dig, and I will binge on their music; and other times I bounce around - usually within a specific genre. And sometimes I get into a specific song and will even search for covers of the song by multiple artists, usually because I want to rearrange it and cover it.
6) Do you stream everything you want? Do you buy CDs? Do you own a CD player?
Mostly, I stream.
7) Do you listen to any kind of radio - subscription or broadcast?
When you live in L.A. you listen to news radio all the time for traffic.
8) When you are listening strictly for pleasure and not work, do you listen through speakers amplified by a stereo receiver or do you mainly listen through your computer monitors?
I listen on my computer. But maybe someday I will have a nice old-school component stereo system.
9) What kind of monitors do you use when recording?
I record live guitar and voice demos on a Sony digital voice recorder and listen back on my 21-year-old Altec Lansing computer speakers.
10) How often do you listen to music on a phone? (through a dock?)
Sometimes, but not too much. Mostly when I'm cooking. I like to ignore my phone as much as possible.
11) Do you send demos out on CD's or some other method?
Nope.
12) When will CD's be officially obsolete ala cassette tapes?
I still listen to cassettes.
13) Would you ever send out a demo to a publisher on a USB flash drive?
Nope.
*14) Yes, this was fun. :)

1) How often do you listen to your own music just to listen for fun and not work?
**Always! I've never considered myself to be a "musician" because I don't "play" an instrument(I "play-with" them). So, pretty much "anything" which I have "participated in" that sounds "decent"(or at least "intriguing") will make me smile.**
2) How often do you listen to music you've written a long time ago?
***Always! All of our music is from "a long time ago". We haven't created anything new in well over a decade(other than "a modification" being made during a remix). We've still got well over 200 hours of "music"(99.9% of it improvisation) on cassette tapes.***
3) How does your older work make you feel when you hear it now? Nostalgic? Do you see how it has evolved over time? ***answered in questions #1 & #2***
4) How often do you listen to the work of other artists? ***occasionally***
5) Do you prefer to listen to individual songs by different artists or groups of songs by the same artist? **both!**
6) Do you stream everything you want?**yes!** Do you buy CDs?**no!** Do you own a CD player?**yes!**
7) Do you listen to any kind of radio - subscription or broadcast?**yes! broadcasts!**
8) When you are listening strictly for pleasure and not work, do you listen through speakers amplified by a stereo receiver or do you mainly listen through your computer monitors?***monitors(unfortunately) cuz my stereo system has been down since the flood years back. I "always" preferred my stereo amplifier... LOVED my turntable too! Got hundreds of them "vinyl" thangs!
9) What kind of monitors do you use when recording?**???**(haha!)
10) How often do you listen to music on a phone?**often** (through a dock?)**"with" my phone!**
11) Do you send demos out on CD's or some other method?**nah!**
12) When will CD's be officially obsolete ala cassette tapes?**still listening to cassettes in my car's stereo system!**
13) Would you ever send out a demo to a publisher on a USB flash drive?**nah!**
